Better Buildings for a Clean Energy Future in the City of Riverside

Riverside is Developing a Grant-Funded Building Retrofit Pipeline & Fund for the Benefit of Residents

The City of Riverside has been awarded funding to plan a Municipal Investment Fund designed to accelerate building upgrades, strengthen local workforce opportunities, and expand equitable access to renewable energy across the community. This grant-funded initiative brings the promise of a more resilient and sustainable future for Riverside residents.

But we need your help to demonstrate the need so we can bring more funding and resources to the region!

We are looking to engage building owners, service providers, and other stakeholders to help us identify projects that can benefit from this fund. Projects can include building electrification, energy efficiency, behind the meter solar and storage, and EV charging.

We invite you to join our Virtual Stakeholder Engagement Session on Wednesday, March 4 at 12pm. This Workshop will help inform the plan for this Municipal Investment Fund, focusing on these key elements:

  • Community Benefits & Project Ideas

  • Innovative Financing

  • Jobs and Economic Development 

  • Public-Private Partnerships
