Riverside Municipal Investment Fund Virtual Stakeholder Session

The City of Riverside is planning a Municipal Investment Fund designed to accelerate building upgrades, strengthen local workforce opportunities, and expand equitable access to renewable energy across the community. This grant-funded initiative brings together the City, USGBC California, and GRID Alternatives Inland Empire (GRID IE) to build a more resilient and sustainable future for Riverside residents.

We invite you to join our Virtual Stakeholder Engagement Session on Wednesday, March 4 at 12pm.

This Stakeholder Workshop will help inform the plan for this Municipal Investment Fund, focusing on these key elements:

  • Community Benefits & Project Ideas: Establishing community benefits from reliable and affordable clean energy, EV charging, and efficient healthy buildings, and identifying ideal sites (privately-owned or municipal) for these projects.

  • Innovative Financing: Designing the Municipal Investment Fund to bridge current financing gaps, reduce early-stage project risk, and accelerate project deployment.

  • Jobs and Economic Development: Identifying solutions to workforce development gaps and opportunities to support employer needs in order to expand clean energy job opportunities in the Inland Empire.

  • Partnerships: Identifying ways for the City and Riverside Public Utilities to work more closely with nonprofits, workforce providers, and industry partners to streamline permitting, reduce delays, and improve investment readiness in clean energy and infrastructure projects.

Your participation in this workshop will help us ensure this initiative reflects local priorities and delivers meaningful benefits to the Riverside region.
